Facebook remains to be the most popular social media site where people often hang out and it’s no surprise why a lot of users find it appropriate to promote their accounts from other platforms here. Whether you’re a private individual or somebody who runs a business, it is indeed an advantage to share your other social media pages or profiles on Facebook.
If you’re on Pinterest, you can also freely promote your page on Facebook and gain more followers. By default, your activities on Pinterest are also shown on your profile or Timeline. But then, you can still do other steps to make more people aware of what you do.
One way is to create a new tab on your fan page. You can use a free app such as the WooBox, Pagemodo or TabSite and provide your Pinterest information there. You may also include screenshots of your images. By displaying a Pinterest tab, your friends will be able to see what you’re up to and they can check out your information without having to go to the main site.
A second way is to post links when you make your status update on Facebook. Always use the direct link to your Pinterest page and share what your friends and fans can find there such as free ebooks and business tools as well as contests and freebies. That would spark their interest.
Other than your home page on Pinterest, you may also post the url of a specific board. As an example, you can post an attention grabbing image from one of your boards on your Facebook status update and then include a link to that particular board.
You may also include the link only. When you take this step, Facebook will immediately generate a photo of one of your pins and the description from that specific board.
Finally, launch a contest and promote it on Facebook. Use your fan page and include a short description, a link to your Pinterest as well as a photo of your prizes. This strategy has always been effective in attracting followers.
